In Mexico because of the pandemic crise the economic situation which is collapsing day by day, many have had to find an alternative to make ends meet during the containment.
Marcela 29 years, is one of them. She is a dancer and has a pole dance academy (Fitness, pole dance and twerk…) in Cuidad Satellite near the capital of Mexico. From the start of her forties, she had to close her studio and start teaching online. Single mother Marcela, has to juggle between her work and home school for these two little girls of 8 and 5 years old. Among other things, the context of COVID, its profile remains very atypical, far from the stereotypes of the stripper or the traditional housewife.
GUAQUERAS
On Boyaca land in northwestern Colombia, is the village of Characo, famous for its emerald mines. For decades women were banned in the mines because they were considered cursed and fleeing the famous stone. But following the crisis of the emerald, a direct result of the Green War, women don't had not choice to go too, alongside men in the depths of the mines. They then found themselves obliged to combine the work of the mine with that of a shopkeeper and family mother .
